Surface Resistivity Meter (9V)

This is an ultra wide-range, battery operated, Potable instrument for measuring surface resistivity of virtually any flat surface. In the circuit industry, products such as packing materials, component storage bags and trays, workbench surfaces, table and floor mats, conveyor belts, etc., have resistance value, which need to confirm to stringent specifications. Moreover, these values are expected to fall within specified limit. The surface Resistivity meter can play a vital role in monitoring and checking the resistivity characteristic of the above items.

It also has unique additional features of surface-to-ground measurement capability wherein the resistivity differential between any surface and any chosen ground can be determined. Dual Surface Resistivity Meter With Probes

The surface resistivity meter measures both surface resistance and resistance to ground. This is meant for use in evaluating a wide variety of ESD protective materials including table mats, floor mats, and hard ESD laminates. It measures and displays surface resistivity as well as surface to ground and point-to-point resistances. These measurements can be done in the range of < 103 to >1012 Ohms by using two 2.5 kilo (51b) heavy electrodes or through internal probes. To check whether surface resistivity is in accordance with EOS/ESD Association standards S-4.1.

Wrist strap is the first line of defence against electrostatic charges builds up on the human body. It is designed to carry away this charges as soon as it is generated. At the same time wrist strap must remain electrically safe for the user. Thus, it is important to test every wrist strap regularly.
in order to protect the sensitive electronic components the maximum wrist strap resistance should not be more than 10 meg ohms on the other end. The resistance should not be less than 0. 75 meg ohms as protection to the wearer from dangerous level of the voltage and current flow.

The wrist strap tester checks these parameters under actual operating conditions with the strap on the wrist. It clearly indicates weather or not the resistance of the wrist strap system including the wearer is at least 0. 75 meg ohms and not more than 10 meg ohms respectively.

The model SCM – 02 static charge meter is a lightweight, precision electrostatic charge meter that features stabilized sensor for accurate measurement. The maximum measurement range is from 0 to 10 KV at meter to object distance of one inch. A 2-1/2-Digit LCD provides 100-Volt resolution with polarity indication.
